In 1996, Day Adeogba began his journey as a personal trainer and lifestyle coach. Just three years later, he was managing a team of trainers at a major gym franchise. But Day saw a disconnect—his team was certified, yet many failed to embody the very principles they taught. This sparked a turning point. He created a physical assessment system to hold himself and his team accountable—not just to knowledge, but to character.
That same year, Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People introduced Day to the concept of being principle-centered. With this new lens, he began seeing how a person’s physical habits could reveal their deeper character. He asked a bold question: Can you understand a person’s character through their health and fitness? That question became a thesis—Character Fitness—and his gym became a laboratory for personal transformation.
Over the next 25 years, Day poured over 100,000 hours into this lab, guiding thousands of clients through the process. The result is The YourDay Balance Game (YDBG)—a health and fitness game inspired by Love, Accountability, and Balance that measures and improves personal character through a principle-centered lifestyle.
As the CEO and architect of YDBG, Day has cultivated over 1 million hours of active play among thousands of players across two decades. His revolutionary approach has made him a trusted advisor to CEOs, Presidents, and high-performing teams—including those at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Manhattan Associates, and Kindred Healthcare. His work has been featured on CNN, and his message continues to attract leaders who seek transformation from the inside out. Day lives with the Queen, Chanda Adeogba and their family in Atlanta, GA. They have three beautiful children Kennedy (20), Tristan (17), and Issa (15).
